Employers Need to Care for Employees!!!

January 22nd 2012 07:22
As a social media commentator .... self appointed of course Is it true ? I am amazed to here from people that are out there working for large companies and small ones .

Use and abuse, "you don't toe the line or you don't do as you are told , there is the door ...Goood Bye"!

You cannot leave your desk, you cannot listen to music if your job is such that it does not affect the work.

People out there are Unhappy in their work places ,,, no one cares about their employees, there is plenty of people out of work in many industries who can fill your place , they are told.

Again it is a matter of ethics , okay if someone is a poor worker , or doing something wrong , yes give them warnings.
Three I believe and written is the correct format.
If they are still problematic , then one can dismiss them but must be valid reasons.

To deny movement or breaks or to go to the bathrooms ,hmmmm , that is interesting .

Whilst we are in tough times economically globally we are not hopefully moving back to the days of employment slavery part of the industrial revolution style mentality.

Employers need to remember you are only as good as your employees and if
they are not well looked after or happy in their work they will not give you quality work.
So be mindful it is always best to be ethical and good to your employees as they will then perform better and there will be less sickness.

Unhappy employees get sick more often than happy ones.
Known medical fact.

So employers LIGHTEN UP and be more caring as you will get the better results from your employees.
Giving you more achievable bottom line results .

"I'm not in the Social Services business. You need to go work for social service."

The same builder had recently told me; "You are one of the best carpenters I've worked with." He had just relocated his log home construction company to Chapel Hill, N.C., USA.

I made one mistake that he wanted me to reimburse him for in making the correction which involved about a total of twelve bricks on three columns. Not being a partner to share in profits or losses, I told him he would pay me for every hour I worked or I'd go to the labor board.

That same night he came to my house to fire me. I asked if he knew how many mistakes I kept his brother from making? Just let me finish the week and I will quit and he agreed.

Monday I was on a new job with a more humane guy and neighborhood friend. Too many employers are selfish in mind-- they want excessive (often greedy) profits at the expense of skill or unskilled workers.

When the trend of USA companies leaving the country for cheaper labor, America has ceased to be a major manufacturer of almost anything. The phrase of becoming an IT tech employment nation ushered in a big decline as we see it today. Shame!

Making products abroad for the citizens of that country is great-- but the intent is to ship back home. So jobs are lost in the millions, who will earn the money to even buy imported goods. This is an abbreviated response but I think the picture is there.

There are obviously some extreme scenarios out there that people need to take action on. Certain industries like call centres also seem to treat employees like kindergarten children who need strict rules and regulations in regard to going to the toilet and getting drinks etc. Hope it works out for the other commenter, Nicasio Martinez in the new job.
