Incompetent St George Bank

Another buffoon in banking the ST GEORGE BANK.
Had a friend ring me this afternoon telling me they now understand the gripe I have with the banking system of many banks.
The bank did not alert him that someone has been taking money out of their bank account overseas, a country they have never even been to.
The friend immediately rang the St GEORGE BANK and he told them he picked this problem up with his account , they told him that as the transactions were pending they could not do anything and he already had something like $4,000 out of his account gone.
This account is also directly linked to his mortgage payment therefore the mortgage payment would not go through and he would be fined.
Ridiculous state of affairs , he was beside himself as everything is linked to this account electronically for all his payments.He fronts up at the ST GEORGE BANK personally,tels them what the problem is and they tell him to fill in a form , how DUMB can they be ....the man needs help immediately so all his payments go through to the right accounts ...
He need the matter attended to immediately .
No the ST GEORGE BANK staff are not sympathetic and tell him he will be charged for all the payments that are overdrawn as his money is not there in the account.
DUMB DUMB people at ST GEORGE BANK is all I can say , NO EMPATHY for someone who is on a tight budget, cannot afford a cent either way to be charged extra , has a family to feed , children to send to school and his bill cannot be paid , NO FAULT OF HIS , someone has stolen his money and the banks so called vigilent fraud sqaud never even picks it up ......
THen when he tells them what is going on , he is told nothing can be done ....
Again a lot of BULL....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
SHAME & DISGUST again to the banks and again this time to THE ST GEORGE BANK IN OZ!
Stress , Out of Pocket , Banks no Action Attitude ....................YES , HE IS ALSO Lodging a complaint with the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN ........
He will not pay a cent for the problems he is incurring and to right ...
What is the matter with the Banking system when we are in a technological age , all they have to do is press a few buttons , pick up a phone and put the poor buggers mind to rest that he will not be charged extra for problems he did not cause , that his payments for his mortgage will be okay .......................
What if he has a heart attack and drops dead from the stress who will pay for the funeral , will there be money to access for his wife to get bills paid will his children starve.
ST GEORGE BANK get a grip on reality ., train your staff to act in the right manner , where is the humanity in todays world.
The call centre you work with do they know their is a human being on the other end of the line , do the bank staff know they are dealing with real human people and not in another world fantasy style other life.
Or do we just have to fight tooth and nail for our rights and the sysytems that god forbid cannot be moved or changed one little millimetre unless someone kicks and screams loud enough. Tragic life has become is all I can say ...and it does not need to be this way at all.
I am a nobody in this world not famous , not rich just an average person who works very hard for very little and I never ever had to fight so hard for things as I do now .....I ask WHY ....THE BANKS ARE Bailed out by governments but who bails out those who lose their jobs ,or cannot get a job because of their age (use by date is past) have issues with banks , the media, the telephone companies , the energy companies and the list goes on .
One gets very tired of fighting for their rights , it should not be so....hard to exist .
