Magical Tibetan Scenery (LINK)

Magical Tibetan Scenery awaited us all the way. To some of the travellers on this trip all they saw were rocks and desolate landscapes , but to me it was like a magical land opening before my eyes.
Each rock , each little drop of water , the mist ,the snow , the clouds were just enthralling and then to see the little rock flowers pop up here and there was pure delight.
The 7 to 8 hour trip was over dusty and foreboding roads , The scenery to me was as mentioned not desolate and here and there were dotted villages in and around the mountains.
In many places the villages were overlooked by ruined monastries.
En route we also came upon Tibetan roadside workers just working away to what seemed in the middle of nowhere. They were lovely and gentle people who were more than happy to see us as we stopped and had a break.
One such gentleman was digging by the roadside and even though there was no language between us he showed me the beautiful rock flowers that grew by the wayside .
I noticed he had a beautiful amulet around his neck made of turquoise and silver and red coral. If it were possible to retrace my steps I would have sent him the pictures
but unfortunately it was one of those moments in time where one human being meets and interacts for just a moment in a lifetime .
This was to be a long and hard trip of only 241km to Xigaze which sits at 3900metres. On our journey though we ascend to the Jai Tsuo La Pass which is around 5220 metres and gives us a view of the Himalayan Mountains.
As one can see by the pictures taken the scenery changes moment to moment and it is this magnificence of visual beauty that takes one breath away as well as the altitude.
